Why is it worth recycling a car?

1. You act responsibly

A car that is left lying around can spill dangerous liquids into the environment. Therefore, in the worst case, excessive waiting can cause damage to the environment and even lead to punishment. So, please recycle your car on time.

By recycling the car at an official take-back point, you will receive a certificate of destruction, which guarantees that the car can no longer be registered for use in traffic and all liability of the owner ends, such as taxes and insurance premiums.

Car recycling doesn´t cost anything!

Recycling your car is easy and costs you nothing. The members of Finnish Car Recycling are car manufacturers and the importers of new and used vehicles, who are responsible for the costs of recycling.

2. Materials can be utilised

Up to 95% of the manufacturing materials of a recycled car can be recovered. Some of the recovered parts can be reused as spare parts and some can be given a new life in the form of reuse. Recycling and reused materials save our natural resources.
